“Inferno” is an immersive performance combining butoh dance theatre, movement, music, and spoken word. Based on Dante Alighieri’s Divine Comedy, it transforms the classic poem into a macabre yet modern spectacle. In this production, Panevėžys Theatre “Menas” becomes a surreal 21st-century museum, Dante’s journey turns into a breathtaking path, and the actors become familiar exhibits. The audience is not just watching—they are participants, witnesses, travellers, and at times, even the main characters themselves.
